Creative Projects

I’ve been working in the Cultural Sector for 20 years as a Project Manager, Creative Producer and Fundraiser.

I adore coming up with ideas and bringing in teams of creatives to bring them to life.

Creativity Island – For New Mums (Coming 2021)

Whilst on ‘maternity leave’ I want to create space for a brand new community for new mums and mums with children under 5 at home.  It’s called Creativity Island and it will be a chance to connect, up level your wellbeing practises and create together!  If the pandemic has taught us anything it’s the importance of community for our mental health and I can’t wait to share what I’ve got in store for you.    Sign up to hear more via the link below.

Voice of the Creative 2017 – 2020

Voice of the Creative with Action for Children was a three year partnership project celebrating creativity and curiosity in families and children under 5.

Funded by Arts Council England with support from bait Museum Northumberland, projects took place in children’s centres and other spaces in Central Northumberland.

In 2020 we commissioned Unfolding Theatre to create a Story Trail for Newbiggin by the Sea.  You can see more here.

We also created a beautiful creativity and mindfulness journal for teenagers.  Click here to download a copy.

‘And now there is… ‘  2019

Inspired by Katie Patterson’s ‘First there is a Mountain, I worked with groups of young people and two artists to explore a creative response to Katie Patterson’s work ‘First there is a Mountain’.

The participants made clay casts of beach found objects and we installed a temporary exhibition on the shore to celebrate ‘First there is a Mountain’ coming to Seahouses, Northumberland.

Commissioned by Berwick Visual Arts in partnership with Katie Patterson Studio, National Trust and artists Judith Davies and Katie Chappel.

Articles and Blogs

I write a life style blog from time to time all about being ‘Creatively Conscious and our slower paced lifestyle in Northumberland.

I also write articles for creatives drawing on my 20 years experience in the industry.  They are all here.   Enjoy!
