Soul Space for the Sacred Feminine – Postpartum healing retreat

Join us! We are so excited to WELCOME you to our VERY first SOUL SPACE in 2022.

Sunday 3 April 2022 from 10.30-5pm,
The Tee-pee, Shilbottle, Northumberland

We welcome 6 postpartum people to sit in circle with us, share space, and come together to create and heal through shared experience and conversation.

You are welcome to arrive at our humble (but magical) back lane allotment in Northumberland where you will settle in with tea and conversation in our tipi space.
We will then continue the day with a series of activities that nourish your soul, creative spirit and hold you steady as a postpartum woman mothering in the pandemic.

There’ll be creativity, cacoa, a talking circle, a fire and much much more.

Early bird price – £111 including all refreshments, lunch from the WONDERFUL Running Fox, all materials and a little surprise gift for you. A deposit secures your spot and payment plans are available, just drop us a note.

Suitable for women at any stage in their postpartum journey but particularly suitable for those navigating early motherhood. Babes in arms/ non crawling babies welcome.

Payment plans are available as well as one full free place, available to someone who could otherwise not attend. Please contact to discuss.

Your organisers…

Claire Venus is a mum and a creative. She is passionate about female voice and walking a path of seasonal slow living, magic and healing. She lives in Northumberland with her husband and her two children.

Her daughter Luna-Jean was born in the first year of the pandemic and her postpartum journey brought her insight into a system which desperately needs a deep overhaul. After taking her four month old daughter to meet her NHS therapist behind a mask to open the discussion of birth trauma, she spent the next year researching how women coped with the transition pregnancy and motherhood brings in a pandemic where the support we so desperately need isn’t always forthcoming.

In 2021, she self published her first book Creativity Island for Mums – The Journal.

Zoe Gardiner is a mum of two, a research scientist and a postpartum activist. Following the birth of her daughter in 2020, she found herself fighting to receive appropriate postpartum care. Sat in her hospital gown, missing her 11 month-old baby, she was filled with the kind of feminine rage that creates change. Once she had recovered from her anaesthetic, she began creating Postpartum Matters – a not-for-profit organisation working to share postpartum stories and to change the narrative around postpartum care.

Zoe and Claire are super grateful to their yoga teacher Lucy Maresh for bringing them together in zoom pregnancy yoga and later in person to walk the labyrinth of motherhood.
